This red wine is a blend of international varietals and Teroldego, which is its main component. The Teroldego’s uniqueness stems from its noble family tree and genetic heritage that encompasses the organoleptic peculiarities of some other famous red grapes.

The geological uniqueness of the area has created the ideal habitat that defines the Teroldego style with very distinctive sensory profile. The very loose, pebbly, and dry soils created very different micro-climatic environments that give Teroldego grapes such unique features: fruitiness, fragrance, elegance and round tannins along with a beautiful aromatic intensity and structure.
The Dolomites region offers very diverse climatic environments: from the cold alpine climate in the north to the Mediterranean climate near the Lake in the south. Thanks to this, the area has become ideal for the cultivation of red grape varietals: some are historical, such as Teroldego, and others are international, like Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Teroldego, in particular, has been cultivated for centuries and is considered the “king” vine of the region.
The Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon selected grapes grow in the vicinity of Lake Garda, while the Teroldego grapes are picked in vineyards close to the Dolomite rocks, where they are exposed to direct sunlight, but also to the reflected sunlight of the white rocks. This produces a partial dehydration of the grapes and a slight over-ripening. This natural process favours polyphenolic ripening of the grapes and accumulation of aromas and structure. The grapes are manually harvested in late September and, after crushing and destemming, vinified in steel for about 12 days at a temperature of 24-25°C with the addition of selected yeasts. Subsequently, part of the wine matures in second, third, fourth use barriques for several months and the remaining 10% in new barriques.
This wine expresses a lightly ripe aromatic profile characterised by warm, jammy red berry, blackberry and blueberry notes. The fragrant complexity is enriched by hints of almond wood and vanilla. On the palate, the elegant and delicate structure makes it highly drinkable and round.
This wine, with its warm soul and fragrant structure, pairs well with cold cuts, spicy appetizers, as well as savoury white meat and fish dishes.
